Microblading

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing.  The look is of individual hair strokes verses a bar of color. It is done with a hand tool to accomplish the most natural look.  The pigments I use are medical grade and plant based.  My training was completed at J'Adore under the direct supervision of Bianca Davis.  She is one of the top microbladers in the country and in the world. Microblading is dear to my heart.  There was a time in my life when I completely lost my eyebrows.  I felt I lost a little of myself when it happened. When I learned of microblading I knew I had to become trained and by the best!

This appointment is where the initial brows are created. We will decide on shape and color and the initial pigment will be deposited into your skin.  You will visually heal in 7-10 days.  Complete healing is accomplished after 6 weeks. You can lose between 30%-80% of your pigment during this time. A second appointment is crucial for you to achieve the final look you desire.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a manual method to create natural looking hair strokes.  Small amounts of pigments are deposited in the superficial layer of the skin.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Your brows will last as long as they are maintained.  Untouched, the pigment will last 6-18 months.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED A TOUCH UP?

Touch ups are recommended once a year, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp.

DOES IT HURT?

There is minimal discomfort associated with the procedure.  A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area to make you comfortable during the procedure.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY PROCEDURE?

Leave your brows alone for a week (no tweezing, waxing or otherwise removing the hair) is preferred.  Please refrain from injectibles in the treatment area and do not take any asprin, 2 weeks prior to the procedure.  If you are currently under the care of a physician you will need to contact your doctor before hand and bring a doctors release note.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Wash twice a day with anti-bacterial soap and leave your brows to dry heal.  NO AQUAPHOR OR ANY OTHER OINMENT!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The procedure takes about two hours, sometimes more and sometimes less. Please allow a solid two and a half hour window for your appointment.  A lot of the appointment time is filling out your consent form, measuring, shaping the outline and picking out color.  The actual microblading doesn't take that long.

DO I NEED TO TAKE VACATION DAYS?

No. There is no downtime associated with the treatment.  Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after.  Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from being in public.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

Healing time varies from individual to individual.  Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off.  Your skin will be considered healed after that happens.  Then, the pigment will take some time to settle into the skin.  There could be days where parts of the pigment disappear but don't worry! They will reappear as the healing continues. We need six weeks to pass before we consider the process complete.

WHAT SHOULD I NOT DO AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry - that means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting them wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling of the treatment area.  You can still wash your hair and face but keep your brows out of the direct line of the shower stream.  Once they are healed up, you treat them as your own.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE YOUR WORK?

I will guarantee that your face is important to me and that I will act in accordance with my experience and superb training to give you the best possible treatment. I can guarantee that I will do everything I can to make you gratified and content every time.  There are no guarantees in regards to the outcome after the procedure heals in the individuals body, just like anything else cosmetic in this industry.

WARRIOR WAND INFORMATION

If you are going through chemotherapy or are just recovering from it and want your brows back, I do a free set every month.  All I will need is a note from your oncologist.  If you suffer from Alopecia Areata (like me!) I will also do your brows for free.  I know what it feels like to have no eye brows.
